GLory Story: from mason to mission: Part two
September 2020
A Glory Story is a holy success story! More specifically, it is a short story sharing how God has become better known in the lives of people who have had contact with the ASJB. These stories are full of hope and give all glory to God! Every month we share a new story here so be sure to check in monthly to be uplifted by how God works in the lives of so many!
If you have a Glory Story of your own to share or have seen God work through the ASJB, contact us and we can feature your story!

Remember our May 2020 Glory Story written by Camryn Stryker? Shared this month is Erinn’s perspective of the same encounter and how her mission-focused life began! Erinn wrote to us and shared the following story:
“This [2018] was my first summer volunteering as an ASJB College Night speaker. I had recently gone through a radical conversion in my faith and wanted to assist other college students as much as possible, especially going into my senior year at George Mason University. Fortunately, the volunteer opportunity with ASJB popped up and I happily said yes.
“This particular College Night was the last one of the summer. I knew there was only one George Mason student on the list for the night, which was kind of a bummer for me, but this inspired me to pray for this student heavily before going into the night.
“After I finished speaking and headed into small groups, Camryn and I instantly connected over the FBI internship I shared about in my talk which led to deeper conversation about faith, personal life and her transition to George Mason. I knew very quickly that Camryn and I were going to be great friends and that meeting her this night was truly a God given gift!”
And great friends they became! Camryn writes, “I really clicked with her story and from that night forward we’ve had a beautiful friendship in Christ together and she helped me become involved in our CCM. It made me feel so much better joining CCM having met someone who was already wanting to be there for me and be invested in my growth.”
Erinn continues saying: “The ASJB College Night gave me the opportunity to invite her into our Catholic Campus Ministry community before she even showed up at campus. She was my newest friend that I eagerly introduced to everyone the first week on campus. This led to her going on our Freshmen Beach Retreat, joining a bible study and becoming one of the main volunteers at our service events.
“The friendship I gained with Camryn was truly a part of the catalyst that inspired me to become an ASJB Associate and FOCUS missionary. Meeting her and accompanying her in her faith since day one of college allowed me to see the power behind intentionality and the sheer gift it is to watch someone encounter Jesus more deeply.
“It takes one person to change a life! Since then, Camryn has been an active leader in the George Mason Campus Ministry and has been such a joy to grow in friendship with.”
