GLORY STORY: Theresa and Her Trio

As a freshman at Mount St. Mary’s, Theresa began an incredible friendship when she gifted her second Bosco Bundle to two wonderful sisters. The following story is her perspective of giving away the Bundle and how the friendship grew over the course of their first year of college.
“Giving away my Bosco bundle was a very inspiring and fulfilling moment!! The two girls whom I gave it to were very excited to receive it!
“I explained what some of the books were about and why they were important. Even with boatloads of homework, they showed great interest in learning more about the faith through reading the books. I told them if they had any questions to come to me and we could have a sort of book study since I have the same exact books. They loved the idea of learning more about the faith which I have told them a little about already.

“The reason I chose these two sisters was that, as I have gotten to know them, I have seen their beautiful souls. They long to know more about God. They have very strong morals and values but were raised without a religion. They believe in God and have come with me to a prayer meeting at the grotto already. I am so glad I had the Bosco bundle as a resource and starting point to help lead these girls closer to the Faith and to God, who loves them sooo very much!
“In the months that followed, we continued to grow closer. The girls were very interested in the Catholic faith and I was extremely grateful for the training I received from the Associates of St. John Bosco because it gave me the tools I needed to give these girls and many others positive instruction in the faith. They became such beautiful examples to their own group of friends, particularly the basketball team. Thanks be to God and the resources I received from ASJB, a seed of faith has been planted in these girls and will most definitely continue to grow as they become the people God created them to be.”
