These stories are full of hope and give all glory to God! Every month we share a new story here so be sure to check in monthly to be uplifted by how God works in the lives of so many!

Sophomore Rachel Cieplak at the University of Connecticut shared with us how the ASJB influenced her freshman year of college:
“Throughout my high school career, my faith was always on the back burner. I was raised Catholic, but never fully understood the beautiful and fulfilling commitment that it is to be a daughter of Christ. I went to Mass each week and occasional confession, but I lacked a strong Catholic community and a desire to grow in my faith.
“When I attended my ASJB College Night, I was suddenly surrounded by young men and women who shared my Catholic beliefs, which had never been the case for me growing up.
“But since I would be going to a school out of state, the University of Connecticut, I was not expecting to meet anyone at the College Night who I would be able to keep in contact with during my time at school. Little did I know that it was at this night that God would introduce me to Erinn Black, one of the ASJB Associates and one of the new FOCUS missionaries at UConn! She would become one of the most pivotal influences on my life as a Catholic.

“Erinn truly helped me see beyond the life I had been living towards a life filled with God’s Divine Love and Mercy. It was through her encouragement that I attended the FOCUS Student Leadership Summit Conference in Phoenix this past December which absolutely changed the way I saw myself, the people around me, and my relationship with Christ.
“From this point on, I began to delve deeper into my faith, in large part, relying on the books that the ASJB provided in the Bosco Bundle, books I simply expected to gather dust on my shelf. I started going to daily Mass and became more involved in my Bible study, which slowly but surely nurtured in me a desire to bring others closer to God so they too could experience His great love and mercy.”
