The 2023 Associate Program Application is now closed. Please check back next fall for new opportunities to join our apostolate!
The ASJB Associate Program seeks to aid students in developing their skills for the work of the ASJB apostolate. College student Associates aid in the evangelization outreach of the ASJB apostolate through:
(a) the development of their personal skills in evangelization,
(b) the use of those skills to aid the mission of the ASJB, and
(c) the development of the College Night Program for rising college students.
Requirements of the Program include:
Serving for a year-long commitment beginning January 1st and ending December 31st.
Working in a specific area of the College Division for a minimum of 6 hours of apostolate work per month, including 3 hours per week in the summertime during College Night season.
Helping to plan and assist at each of the College Nights in the summer.
Attending 4 meetings with the College Division and the other Associates during the months of: January, May, June, and July/August.
Conducting a monthly phone call with the College Division to discuss work completed and the upcoming month’s work.
Benefits of the Program:
Students cultivate skills in excellence, professionalism, and peer-to-peer evangelization by working in a non-profit organization which gives them oversight and ownership of specific areas of the organization’s outreach.
Students benefit from one-on-one formation within the College Division throughout the year, including training in the apostolate from Father Vaccaro at the 4 in-person meetings.
If work is completed with a level of professionalism and excellence, and for the entirety of the committed contract, the Associates of St. John Bosco will:
Provide up to a $1,500 stipend for the Associate’s work.
Write a letter of recommendation for future employment or applications, if requested.
